Sali Sidibé
Two tracks from 1988 by Sali Sidibé from the Wassoulou region of southern Mali. I heard "Djen Magni" on the excellent Internet radio station Radio Wassoulou Internationale (which quickly became a hypnotic favorite on our kitchen radio). I love how they use that Casio's autorhythm. I think the keyboard is the one that can be seen in the next video.

Projects for modernist protestant churches in 1950s Switzerland
Architectural models of protestant churches about to be built in Switzerland (in 1959). From an issue on modernist protestant churches of the seminal swiss architecture journal Werk, 8/1959.
Top to bottom:
Project for a church in Zürich-Schwamendingen by Cramer+Jaray+Paillard (an even better version was realised)
Project for a church in Reinach by Ernst Gisel (2 images), also realised quite differently.
Project for a church in Effretikon by Ernst Gisel (also got a more radical in reality)
Project for a church in in Zürich by Eduard Neuenschwander (2 images)
Project for a church in Bern Bümpliz-Bethlehem by Werner Küenzi (2 images), was built as well.

Book covers for book lovers: Film, Video & Cie.
Book covers for book lovers is a (cheesily named) new series of posts of, well, book covers, with little additional information. Sometimes scans from my own collection (like in this case), sometimes some of the snapshots I tend to take in other people's libraries in thrift stores.

Simulations Publications Inc.

I saw this game in an exhibition about the postapocalyptic and Tarkovsky's Stalker at the Maison d'Ailleurs, the excellent Swiss Science Fiction Museum/Library. Trying to find out more about the game, I discovered the wonderful world of board game geeks, who provide tons of material, e.g. about Simulations Publications Inc., the company behind said game.
"Founded by Jim Dunnigan in 1969, SPI was a publisher of board wargames during the 1970s and early 1980s, when it went bankrupt. SPI also published several magazines, including Strategy & Tactics, Moves and Ares"
All images found on boardgamegeek.com and tacticalwargamer.com. Thanks, board game enthusiasts!
The design of these magazines and some of the titles remind me of library records.

The wonderful psychedelic Estonian Folk/Jazz hybrid of Collage
I stumbled upon this interesting looking LP in a charity shop just before Christmas.
Mind blowing.
I'm sure many of you will like it too and luckily someone put the full album here:
