Illustrations by Alfredo de Santis from: Emanuela Bompiani: Io gioco tu giochi noi giochiamo. Milano 1971.
I've had this activity book (in a rather indecisive German edition that somewhat tries to de-radicalize the original) since I was a kid. I've been attracted/fascinated/annoyed/scared by de Santis' illustrations ever since.
BUM BUM!
AntwortenLöschenI'd be interested in the context of the 'BUM BUM'.
AntwortenLöschenIt would be "boom boom!" in english. The drawing is from the chapter "games from around the world" and illustrates a "game from the US", a variation of charade and tag that starts with one group shouting "boom boom here we are!".
AntwortenLöschenCould this be purchased somewhere.....I had a quick google but no joy.
AntwortenLöschenThis is strangely fascinating!
Thanks,
Bob!
Bob, the German version seems to be easier to find. The German title is "Das große Buch der Kinderspiele". There's also an english version called "Games for all seasons". I'm trying to find the italian original myself, so you'll be fine with one of the translations for the moment, deal?
AntwortenLöschenDeal!
AntwortenLöschenIf I arrive upon the Italian I shall pass on the details!
Thanks,
Bob!
There's also a French version:
